The remuneration system for the Executive Board aims to ensure that its members receive appropriate compensation in line with their area of activity and responsibility and in compliance with the relevant statutory requirements, thus making the Bank an attractive employer for top executives. An appropriate level of variability within the remuneration system allows for the joint and personal performance of the Executive Board and the Bank’s long-term business success to be taken into account in a clear and direct manner.
The remuneration system comprises a fixed basic remuneration component as well as a variable component in the form of an annual bonus.
The annual bonus is a variable cash payment which corresponds to a percentage of the audited annual profit prior to the provision for bonuses. Following the presentation of the annual financial statements, the Board of Directors sets the percentage at its own discretion, taking account of the personal performance of the Executive Board member.
The variable remuneration of all other Bank employees is calculated in accordance with a separate process.
Should a negative annual result be generated, no variable remuneration is paid out.
Variable remuneration may not exceed 50 % of the fixed remuneration component.
Bank Alpinum AG does not issue severance payments in the event of the premature termination of employment contracts.
